Owen GLANCY (c1798-1868)and wife Mary BYRNES (c1798-1876) applied for permission to settle in Canada on 25.3.1827 in Carrick-on-Shannon. By Jan. 1, 1829 they were residents of Cornwall Township, Stormont County, Ontario, Canada. They are in 1829 census of Cornwall Township<br>and many Catholic Church records from January, 1829 forward. They had two children, Patrick (c1827-1902) and Mary Ann (1835-1910), who married Thomas Cleary in Cornwall in 1853. Looking for siblings or parents of both Owen and Mary. Full record of family from 1829 forward, but lives in Ireland and time and means of passage to Canada are unknown. Owen may have had older sister Catherine who married a <br>Murray and were already living in Cornwall Township in January 1829.<br>Owen GLANCY was a farmer-wheelwright by trade.
