Our Muldowney family lived in Tumna parish, Roscommon, between Boyle (Roscommon) and Carrick-on-Shannon (Leitrim). After 1864, the R.D. was Carrick-on-Shannon; however the RC parish was Ardcarne, now Cootehall, I believe. If anyone has knowledge about this area, I'd appreciate hearing. Where is the church located? Is there a cemetery? Closest good-sized town? Planning a trip, a few months from now. Thanks!
