Glennon of Roscommon- HELP!

Post by Jennifer L. Pesce »

Hello! I have just recently begun my family ancestory search and I am already at a deadend with no info!
My great grandmother was from Roscommon (I know neither the townland or parish). Her name was Mary Ellen Glennon. I know very little: She was born (a.) 1863 and was one of 11 children in her family. She married Patrick James Gilroy of Caven County and at some point came to New York, New York where they both resided their whole lives. Patrick J. was a very prominent man, but I have very little on him either. They had 6 children (possibly some in Ireland, but most born in New York):
Margaret
Elizabeth (Betty)
Tom (Thomas?)
Ellen
James (Jim)
John
Some of Mary Ellen's records might be as Mary or Ellen (seperately) or Mary E. I know more info. on each of the 6 kids of Mary Ellen and could expand upon an email if you think that there could be a connection.
PLEASE email me if any of this rings a bell, or even if you have some plain old suggestions for me. Jenlp88@yahoo.com
Thank You!!!
