I have recently discovered that there is a Thomas NOON listed in Griffith's. While I do not fully understand this research document I hope it will prove valuable as I continue my research.
I find Thomas Noon listed as residing in County Roscommon, in the parish of Ardcarn and the townland of Barcullin. I also have seen Boyle connected to this in some way, I am not sure what Boyle represents. I do not quite understand the significance of the terms Carony, Parish and Townland within the confines of a county.
Since I am definitely a novice to research in Irish counties I will appreciate some insight.
Thanks to anyone who can help me knock down my walls.
Charlene
