From a copy of civil birth registrations, I have learned that my great grandmother MARGARET GILBANE (father=THOMAS GILBANE, mother=MARY GLANCY) was born 31 AUG 1873 in MAILWOOD, in the union of Carrick on Shannon, in the district of Jamestown. Is MAILWOOD the townland? Does anyone know which catholic church(es) would be associated with MAILWOOD? I also found, 2 pages earlier, MARY ANNE GILBANE, (father=JAMES GILBANE, mother=MARY JONES)BORN 2 JUL 1873, also in MAILWOOD. Familiar to anyone?
