James Higgins Drowned in England 1887

Post by Mary »

James Higgins, son of another James Higgins, was born in Roscommon about 1844/1848. He married Catherine Hoare in Lancashire in 1876. He drowned in Lancashire in 1887 and the inquest into his death was reported in the local paper. His earliest appearance in English records that has been found so far is his marriage certificate. Where in Roscommon he was born etc. is yet to be discovered. Has anyone got a relative matching his description who met an untimely death in England?
