My McDermott (Dermott) ancestors have been in Monaghan since before 1800. There is a story in our family that says we originally hailed from Roscommon (possibly horse traders) but got evicted from the county for stealing horses. does any of this sound familiar to any McDermotts from Roscommon, or does anyone know of a MCDermott Roscommon/Monaghan link?Any information would be greatly appreciated,<br>
