My ancestor, Thomas McGUIRE, hailed from Kilglass, IRE. <br>I understand that the two counties of Roscommon and Longford both contain parishes named Kilglass. <br>Thomas joined the 99th Regiment whilst it was stationed in Ireland at Kilkenny and Dublin. <br>His regimental number was 1261.<br>He departed on the JOHN BREWER in Dec 1841 for Australia as a Red Coat<br>If any-one has further information on him, it would be gratefully appreciated.
