She was the daughter of John Egan and Anna Bell and came to Albany New York about 1849. In 1867, she married Michael Dignum, a widower with 4 children. Michael was from Roscommon, but I don't know the specific location. I am not sure which county Bridget came from, but the Egan-Bell is an interesting combination. I would be greatful for any help anyone can offer.
I recently discovered that my great grandmother Mary Egan b. 1859 was from Ballindarry, Roscommon, Ireland. She went to Queensland, Australia and married my great grandfather John Feeney from Tipperary. They had 2 children Elizabeth C. and Minnie J. Mary Egan Feeney came to the USA in 1896 and settled in Chicago, Illinois.:
: : I have Catherine Egan emigrating to US in 1864.
