John GAFFNEY married Margaret HIGGINS, probably in St. John, Co. Roscommon. Their son, Michael GAFFNEY b. about 1840, immigrated to the USA in 1861. Michael married Myriah MATHEWS abt 1866, lived in Hopedale, Massachusetts until his death in March 1905. Myriah Mathews Gaffney supplied the informatin for the death certificate. Michael and Myriah had one daughter and five sons that lived to further the name. Would be interested to hear from anyone in Ireland or the States that might share this line.
