Near Rooskey (about 2 miles) there is a townland called Ballykilcline where a number of Deffley's were evicted in 1847 and sailed for N.Y.C. We are in the process of creating a Ballykilcline web page at www.ballykilcline.com which should be up this week sometime. These may be relatives to you, there was a Bridget age 14 in 1847 among them. Full Ballykilcline story is told in The End of Hidden Ireland by Bob Scally. Best regards,
: Pete Hanley
: phanley@arnoldcom.com
:Follow Up. There is a Clan MacLachlan of which I am the genealogist. Please send me any information you might have and I'll check the records we have recorded and see if we can find your Mary McLaughlin. Thanks
