Just for information The Fort at Battery Park which is the demarkation point to visit the statue of Liberty today was Castle Garden. Are you sure they came into New York.

I have Copies of the Tithe for many Townlands in the Gorvagh section (northern portion) of Mohill Parish. Also some other Towlands where the where the name Bohan appears. Do you have a name , or a Townland . Let me know maybe I can help.

John be advised the name Gilhooly and Gallogly are the same in Church records for Mohill in Leitrim . There are variations on Gihooly which you will recognize. The names are interchangable and appear side by side on Mohill Church records.God Bless

TOM Glostermin is the old name of Gasdrumman townland in the Gorvagh area of Mohill Parish. All the modern records for research use Glasdrumman .However a member of the Bohan family used Glostermin as his home address in immigration in 1924. Go figure. Happy New Year
